Bekament BK-Concrete Style 20kg. - Decorative mineral plaster with concrete effect for interior walls

Application

Bekament BK - Concrete Style is a mineral-based decorative plaster used for the protection and decoration of interior wall surfaces. The visual effect that the plaster achieves is on fresh concrete. It is characterized by good adhesion to the base, extremely easy workability and high durability.

 

Preparation and application:

The base on which the solution is applied must be sound, dry and free of any greasy stains or dirt. Before applying the decorative plaster, we recommend priming the base with BK-Grund Universal. For highly absorbent bases, priming with BK-Nivelator is recommended, while for weak and damaged bases, before applying the solution, the surface must be primed with BK-Penetrat. The base must be allowed to dry for at least 12 hours.
To prepare the material, you need to add 20 kg of powder to 6-6.5 liters of water, stirring continuously until complete homogenization is achieved. Let the mixture stand for 10 minutes, then stir again to achieve the appropriate consistency. Apply the mortar in two layers using a stainless steel trowel. The total thickness of the layers should be approximately 1.5–2.0 mm. The desired texture is created immediately after applying the second layer of mortar using a notched trowel or a BK-Travertino comb. Finishing is carried out 15–20 minutes after applying the next layer, after the material has started to dry. Subsequent painting of the BK-Concrete Style mortar is carried out with a transparent layer of BK-Velatura. When working at high temperatures or if the mortar has dried for a long time, it is recommended to pre-coat the surface with BK-Penetrat. If you do not want to change the color of the plaster, BK-Concrete Style can be protected with BK-Aquaphobe.

 

Application temperature:

The air and substrate temperatures during installation should vary in the range of +5 °C to +30 °C. After 6 hours of drying under normal conditions (T = + 23-25 ​​ºC, 50-60% rel. humidity) the solution should be dry to the touch, and after 24 hours it can be painted.

 

Consumption:

Approx. 2.0-2.5 kg/m² depending on the technique and thickness of the coating.

 

Shelf life and storage:

18 months in original, sealed packaging. Store at a temperature of +5°C to +25°C, in a dry and well-ventilated room. The production date is printed on the packaging.
